CK Studios

About

OVERVIEW

CK Studios was founded on October 23rd 2009 by me, Chengaiz Khan, the founder and director of Euphorian Films, a very popular machinima-based film group partnered with Machinima Inc. Being just 17 years old, I’m currently in the final year of high-school preparing for a university course in Waterloo, Canada. I created CK Studios to establish myself as an amateur filmmaker in both the worlds of machinim and live-action alike.

A BRIEF AUTOBIOGRAPHY

I founded Euphorian Films on October 23rd 2008 to mark my entry into the world of machinima with a film entitled “Teardrop”, a silent Halo 3 machinima. After receiving generally favourable views, I proceeded to make an unofficial machinima commercial for the Audi R8, and then a film entitled “Misconception”, which generated some controversy within the machinima world. After successfully attracting the attention of Machinima Inc. I signed a contract with them which enabled my videos to be distributed through Machinima Inc’s vast video network on YouTube, the Vuze HD network and machinima.com. With the added popularity came a demand for more videos, so I hired two talented machinimators, Drift0r (real name held by request) and Nick Orth, to help out with the production of videos for Euphorian Films.

In late August, I hired Martyn Tranter from the now defunct Erinity Studios, who has over eight years of experience with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and other programmes from the Adobe roster. Combined with a range of skills in direction, art, voice acting and filming, I realised the first major project from Euphorian Films, which took six months to write, entitled “SPARTAN-BETA”. The series is currently on hold due to time constraints and commitment problems in regard to the project, and will be remastered by CK Studios in Summer 2010.

In order to boost an already impressive CV for university, and to meet the standards and demands of the new, revised contract offered to Euphorian Films by Machinima Inc. in September 2009, I then launched CK Studios, an unrelated, solo project for future high-quality machinima and live-action productions, although only the former would be distributed by Machinima Inc. The priority for CK Studios when launched was to create or remaster short films previously released by Euphorian Films to an outstanding quality before undertaking the colossal task of remaking “SPARTAN-BETA” in film form by Summer 2010.
